			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>According to the <a href="http://www.greenbaypressgazette.com/article/20090503/GPG0101/905030679/1207/GPG01/Cellcom+Marathon++Bellin+Run+taking+eco-friendly+steps" target="_blank">Green Bay Press Gazette</a>, recycling will be a priority at the upcoming Green Bay Marathon.  They will make an effort to separate plastic water bottles from the rest of the trash generated.  This continues a trend towards &#8216;<a href="http://www.runnersworld.com/article/0,7120,s6-240-488--12876-0,00.html" target="_blank">green</a>&#8216; racing.</p>
<blockquote><p>The May 17 Cellcom Green Bay Marathon will continue last year&#8217;s effort to separate plastic bottles from all other garbage, said Sean Ryan, race director.</p>
<p>&#8220;Running events do not have a very significant carbon footprint, outside of all the people driving to the start and finish, and there&#8217;s only so many things we can do to address that,&#8221; he said. &#8220;What we can address is the trash that&#8217;s generated on site at the event.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
